From Basics to Advanced: GA4 Trainings for Diverse User Needs

With the major switch to a new version of Google Analytics, it became clear to FELD M that support would be required for several aspects of the transition. One  key area was helping our customers to use the new interface and discovering new configuration requirements in Google Analytics 4 (GA4). For tool users we quickly identified two potential categories: on the one hand, customers with experience with a previous version of GA and, on the other hand, those without previous experience. Based on these two main target audiences, basic and advanced GA4 trainings were conceptualized.

The client trainings provided to date have addressed the following challenges:

  • Understanding essential configuration requirements in the interface before trying to interpret the collected data.
  • Familiarization with various possibilities to analyse data according to different focus area: user acquisition with the focus on marketing, user interactions with the focus on events, e-commerce reporting with the focus on products and funnels.
  • Navigation within the tool to find an effective way to create a quick report in GA4.
  • Deepening the analysis process by applying more advanced reporting techniques and customized tracking in Google Analytics.

Based on each customer’s training requirements, FELD M customized the training. Several variables played a role in the design of the GA4 training: the number of training participants willing to learn the new tool, their level of previous knowledge, the department and function of the participants and their different focus and objectives when using GA4.

Investing in thorough preparation always ensured collaborative training sessions with satisfactory outcomes for our clients. Customized materials were developed for multiple sessions, covering both basic and advanced levels. FELD M has solid experience in providing both online and on-site trainings, which may span across several days. The training provided the participants with a comprehensive knowledge base, which may also be confirmed, if required, by a certification process. The program established a solid foundation for both current and new team members, fostering their proficiency in GA4 and enabling continuous growth.
